Penny Wang, HR Intern Shanghai
Penny is a master candidate majoring in Public Administration from Shanghai Jiao Tong University. She took an internship in Bosch for three months. Prior to joining Bosch, Penny used to serve in the Beijing Students Federation as President for one year.
How did you come to Bosch?
By chance, I found the recruitment notice in our university's BBS (Bulletin Board System). Then I browsed Bosch's webpage and was instantly impressed by the blue and red style. The distinguishing company culture and quality fascinated me and I was made more curious about and interested in the company's character. I was getting more and more sure that it was the right company for me. Finally I sent my CV to Bosch.
What kind of internship do you do at Bosch (technical or business sector)?
I worked in the Human Resource Department (RBCN/PER) of Bosch (China) Investment Ltd. My main job was to coordinate training affairs. Besides, I also made training information collection and analysis.
What does your working day look like? What is special about your work at Bosch?
From the first working day on, I was treated as a regular employee instead of an intern. In addition to gaining new knowledge and skills everyday, I was given the opportunity to propose my own opinions and enough room to develop my ability.
Why do you like to work for a company like Bosch?
Having been a student for many years, it's getting more and more clear to me that it is time to be exposed to an environment that would not only help keeping me up to the real business world, but also develop a set of skills other than my study skills, including communicating, coordinating and leadership. Bosch has provided a great opportunity for me to achieve these goals.
Do you plan to work for Bosch in the future? Why would you like to work for Bosch in the future?
It is so fortunate that I became an intern in Bosch, I strongly expect that I can start my career in HR function in Bosch after graduation from university. I will be proud of a family member of Bosch. Bosch provides its employees with lots of opportunities to realize their dreams and also in the meantime, enjoying their life.
